Research on Mindfulness has multiplied exponentially given its great success in different areas such as clinical psychology, business or education. Mindfulness proposes a theoretical and scientifically based model of why it is important to meditate, which has provided a whole revolution of scientific studies.
We know that Mindfulness has a great evidence in different problems, here we want to explain what neurological and mental processes make the practice of Mindfulness improve our health, through brain neuroplasticity, ie the changes it produces in the brain.
The mind is easily distracted, and one of the first practices is to learn concentration. Mindfulness training emphasizes the change that occurs in attention when we exercise concentration.
Mindfulness practice is not about changing the content of thoughts, but the alteration of how we think, called metacognitive functions, i.e., becoming aware of our internal thought events.

Mindfulness is the ability to bring attention to the present, to the here and now, observing without judging the different experiences in each moment. It is an intervention recognized by the National Institute of Health as a Mind-Body Medicine intervention. Mindfulness is trained through the practice and exercise of attention. Using meditation and conscious movement, working the relationship between body and mind, learning how they work together with these two different methods. With the practice of Mindfulness you understand and comprehend the nature of the mind and how it works. Mindfulness allows us to create a different relationship with the thoughts and emotions of our daily life, observing them from a new perspective and learning to manage them. Thus when we become aware of our patterns of thought and emotion, we become freer and are able to respond in more effective ways.
